File Naming Conventions

Product Images

Primary image:

Example: 12345-022.jpg

Secondary images:

Examples: 12345-022-1.jpg, 12345-022-2.jpg, 12345-022-3.jpg

Collection Images

Examples: sorrento.jpg, belluno.webp, verona.jpeg

Note: Case doesn't matter (Sorrento.jpg = sorrento.jpg)

Product Videos

Examples: adelfia.mp4, sorrento.mov, BELLUNO.mp4

Note: Must match collection name, case doesn't matter

Catalogues

Examples: catalogue-2023-release.pdf, catalogue-2024-release.pdf

Note: All lowercase, hyphens between words

Lifestyle Images

No restrictions - can use any file name

Recommended format:

Examples: sorrento-dining-room.jpg, belluno-kitchen.webp

Product Asset Files

IES files:

Example: For SKU 10162-017-01 → 10162.ies

Specification sheets:

Example: Spec sheet - 10162-017-01.pdf

Instruction manuals:

Compatible dimmer lists:

Business Central Attribute Standards

Required Attributes (Both Must Be Present)

1. Category - Product Category

Valid values (must use one of these exactly):

  • Pendants

  • Chandeliers

  • Wall Mounts

  • Ceiling Mounts

2. Collection Name

Must match SharePoint collection folder name exactly

Examples:

  • Belluno Collection

  • Sorrento Collection

  • Verona Collection

Dimension Formatting Standards

Three standard dimensions (L × W × H):

Example: 10" L x 5" W x 20" H

Width × Height × Extension:

Example: 10" W x 10" H x 20" Ext.

Height × Diameter (2 dimensions only):

Example: 10" H x 5" D

Supported dimension labels:

  • H → Height

  • L → Length

  • W → Width

  • D → Diameter

  • Ext. → Extension (note the period)

Spacing rules:

  • Space after every quote mark: 10" H not 10"H

  • Space before and after x: 10 x 20 not 10x20

  • Space before and after +: 10 + 5 not 10+5

Common Mistakes to Avoid

❌ Don't Do This

Renaming folders:

  • Doesn't trigger events

  • Use delete + recreate instead

Overwriting files:

  • Doesn't trigger properly

  • Always delete first, then upload

Skipping the flow:

  • Required for attribute modifications

  • Without it, changes don't sync

Wrong file types:

  • Only JPG/JPEG/WEBP for images

  • Only .mp4/.mov for videos

Approximate dimensions:

  • Must be exact pixels

  • 1200 x 1100 means exactly that

Uppercase/special chars in catalogue names:

  • Must be lowercase with hyphens

  • catalogue-2023-release.pdf not Catalogue_2023_Release.pdf

Use correct folder workflow:

  • Delete old folder

  • Create new folder with correct name

  • Upload assets

Use correct file workflow:

  • Delete old file

  • Upload new file

Run the flow:

  • Always run after modifying existing attributes

  • Automate > API Connection > Run Flow

Use supported file types:

  • JPG/JPEG or WEBP for images

  • .mp4 or .mov for videos

Use exact dimensions:

  • Resize in photo editor to exact pixels

  • Don't approximate

Follow naming exactly:

  • Copy/paste naming templates

  • Double-check spelling
