Important Notes

Image Dimensions Are Critical

The homepage is designed for images at exactly 1430 x 730 px.

Incorrect dimensions will cause:

  • Auto-rejection (email notification)

  • Images won't display correctly on the website

  • Distortion or cropping issues

Always resize images to exact dimensions before uploading.

File Names Are Flexible

Unlike other assets, lifestyle image file names have no restrictions.

You can use:

  • Descriptive names: belluno-living-room.jpg

  • Generic names: image1.jpg, image2.jpg

  • Any naming convention that works for you

Recommended: Use descriptive names so you can identify images easily when managing them.

Multiple Images Per Collection

You can upload multiple lifestyle images for a single collection.

Example:

The website can rotate through them or use them in different homepage placements.

Delete Before Re-Upload

When replacing images or fixing incorrect files:

Always:

  1. Delete the current file(s) FIRST

  2. Then upload the new/corrected file(s)

Don't: Try to overwrite or replace in place.

Incorrect Files Must Be Deleted First

If you uploaded an image with wrong dimensions or file type:

  1. You'll receive an auto-rejection email notification

  2. Delete the incorrect file from SharePoint

  3. Fix the issue (resize, convert format)

  4. Re-upload the corrected file

Troubleshooting

Pro tip: When shooting lifestyle application images, plan for the 1430 x 730 px aspect ratio (roughly 2:1). Frame your shots with this in mind so you don't lose important parts of the image when cropping. Use professional photography if possible - homepage hero images are prime real estate for showcasing your collections. And always test how images look on the actual homepage after uploading, not just in the photo editor.
